ASCUS Project Space @ St James Centre

27 January 2012

Exhibition from 20 January - 26 February 2012 (Hours will be posted at www.ascus.org.uk)

Edinburgh Beltane is excited to see ASCUS open a public exhibition space in the busy St. James Shopping Centre, the culmination of a project which is part of the Edinburgh Beltane Public Engagement Challenge 2011/2012.

ASCUS, with generous support from St. James Centre, have transformed the shop-space into a dynamic art exhibition, where works from art and science collaborations are on show. There is also an exciting events programme featureing artist and scientist lectures, creative workshops, community discussion groups, and social gatherings.

With an intellectual history and a cultural infrastructure rich in the arts and sciences, Edinburgh is a uniquely fertile ground for art and science collaborations. This is a wonderful opportunity for practitioners and researchers throughout Scotland to share ground-breaking work in an accessible and engaging public space. — Mark Eischeid, ASCUS
