Seminar: Realising a Culture of Environmental Sustainability: Festivals, Events and Tourism.

The Realising a Culture of Environmental Sustainability: Festivals, Events and Tourism Seminar, organised jointly by the Edinburgh Institute: Festivals, Events, and Tourism (EIFET) and The Edinburgh Centre for Low Carbon Innovation & Skills (ECCC) will take place on 24 November 2011 at the ECCC, 15 South College Street.

The event brings together academics, specialists and practitioners to address how the industry can respond to customer concerns, reduce carbon footprint, effectively measure environmental impacts whilst at the same time achieve business benefits. It will be particularly useful for festival and event organisers, and individuals from private and public festivals, and the event and tourism sector from across Scotland and beyond. Speakers will include Ben Twist from Festivals Edinburgh and Emma Synnott, Commission for a Sustainable London 2012. The event programme is now available for download.
