Opportunity: Wellcome Trust tender for In the Zone 'Lite'.

The Wellcome Trust is looking for an organisation or consortium to develop and deliver a new strand of In the Zone, the Trust's major initiative linked to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The new strand, In the Zone 'Lite' involves developing and delivering interactive experiences for the public and training for science communicators and educators.  It will engage the public with the science of how their body works during sport, activity, movement and rest.

In the Zone 'Lite' will be delivered by an experienced team of science communicators at events across the UK, usually at no cost to the organiser. Content will draw on elements of the School Kits and the Touring Exhibition strands of In the Zone (further details below) to provide tried and tested hands-on interactive experiences that engage people of all ages with the amazing human mind and body.

In the Zone 'Lite' consists of two work packages but the Wellcome Trust will accept tenders for one work package only, or tenders that focus on both work packages for a specified Nation. The work packages are:
a)      develop and deliver interactive experiences for the public across the UK from April -September 2012 and
b)      develop and deliver training for science communicators and educators from May - September 2012
