Opportunity: Prize for the public promotion of engineering

25 January 2012

The Royal Academy of Engineering have put out a call for nominations for the Rooke Medal, a prize for the public promotion of engineering:

Every year the Royal Academy of Engineering awards a prize (the Rooke medal) to a person or group who has made significant contribution to the public promotion of engineering. Past winners have included Professor Christopher Bishop who presented the 2008 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, the Walking with Robots team and Science Made Simple.

We’re looking for the winners of this year’s award, so if you know anybody you think deserves to win, please let us know. Nominations are open until Monday 27 February 2012 and all the details and forms can be found at www.raeng.org.uk/prizes/public. Self-nominations won't be accepted.
