Call for contributions: Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference 2012

The Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference 2012 - Understanding the Drama of Democracy: Policy Work, Power and Transformation will take place on the 5-7 July 2012 at the University of Tilburg, Netherland.

Contributions are sought for the Participation Professionals panel session, from researchers, practitioners or policy makers working on citizen participation, governance, and collaborative policy making. The panel will be convened by Koen Bartels (University of Glasgow) and Oliver Escobar (University of Edinburgh). Oliver and Koen invite proposals (individual or joint) from researchers and practitioners and in a range of formats (paper, presentation, discussion, sandpit, audiovisual, etc) for the panel session. The Participation Professionals panel will take the form of a research/practice conversation on the policy work of public engagement practitioners. It intends to bring researchers and practitioners into a conversation about what and how they can learn from each other. Proposals are sought which analyse the public engagement profession, and public engagement professionals, and which share experience-based stories about everyday practices.
