Public Engagement Skills & Available Courses
The Edinburgh Beltane Public Engagement Course Database
Public engagement covers a wide range of activities and skills. To try and make it easier for you to focus on areas relevant to you, we've developed a framework for public engagement which covers 'doing' public engagement, 'managing' public engagement and 'audiences' for public engagement.
Courses which can help you develop skills in these areas are tagged and compiled in our course database. The database allows you to browse courses and find out how you can book. There is also the option to log-in and create your own personal professional development schedule. This allows you to create a 'course wishlist', keep a note of ideas and reflections, find out about opportunities and apply for a bursary to attend relevant courses at external Beltane partner institutions.
The courses on the Beltane database range from dedicated public engagement training courses, to sessions run as part of researcher development programs which cover relevant skills to informal adult education classes. Please read the course information carefully to ensure the course is relevant for you.
